Twin Peaks, Inc. (TPI) is a multidisciplinary special inspections firm providing construction materials laboratory testing and special inspections.

Our full-service construction materials laboratory conducts testing on vital components of public and private projects for residential, commercial, transportation, and utilities projects of all sizes throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
The lab is licensed as an NYC DOB-Approved Concrete Testing Laboratory (License #000050) and is accredited by the AASHTO Accreditation Program.
The laboratory operates under the direct supervision of the Laboratory and Technical Director and the oversight of multiple licensed professional engineers in the same facility that houses TPI’s administrative office in Long Island City, Queens.
All laboratory testing services strictly comply with ASTM E329 Standard Specification for Agencies Engaged in Construction Inspections and/or Testing and ASTM C1077 (Standard Practice for Agencies Testing Concrete and Concrete Aggregates for Use in Construction and Criteria for Testing Agency Evaluation).
TPI’s AASHTO Accreditation Program certificate attests to our conformance with all requirements of ASTM E329, C1077, D3666, D3740, and C1093. Rigorous annual reviews of TPI’s testing equipment and the quality management system ensure that our laboratory maintains the highest possible standard of quality as established by third-party, objective professional accreditation organizations.
Our competent, highly-trained field and laboratory personnel receive extensive training for laboratory work. TPI’s laboratory personnel are certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and are trained in all other construction materials testing disciplines.
Construction Materials Testing (CMT) verifies the specific properties and types of materials used in construction projects. It is equally applicable to new buildings, large alterations, and redevelopment/expansion projects.
It is imperative that materials used in construction have the properties required in the building code and project specifications to ensure that they behave as intended and fulfill their purpose in the finished structure.

The use of improper materials can compromise the structure’s stability and pose risks to public health and safety.
The following are subject to this scrutiny:
Twin Peaks, Inc. provides accurate, complete, and reliable test results in the shortest possible time. Also, TPI provides reports electronically to ensure that the test results are distributed on time to clients and their designated representatives.
