This project provided ADA accessibility and infrastructure upgrades at the 14th Street Station Complex in Manhattan. The large-scale project had a project cost of $300 million; $247 million of it was federal funding.

This project enabled system modernization and ADA accessibility for the 14th Street Station Complex in Manhattan. It also brought ADA accessibility to the Sixth Avenue Station at 14th Street (L train), the 14th Street Station on the Sixth Avenue Line (F/M train), and the 14th Street Station on the Seventh Avenue Line (1/2/3 train). There is a passageway connecting these stations, so passengers don't need to exit the station to access any of these three stations. The 8th Avenue and 14th Street Station experienced infrastructure renewal; this is where the A/C/E trains and Canarsie Line cross. Additionally, the Canarsie Line also experienced asset rehabilitation.

Key features of this project included the installation of nine elevators; improvements to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and communication systems; enhancements to platforms and boarding areas to meet ADA requirements and platform renovations; restoration of one ventilator; major rework of the public mezzanine areas to install two new turnstiles; the addition of new fixtures and tilework; and alterations to the corridor to design a smooth, convenient passageway between all station platforms, mezzanines, and the street level. This project enhanced the commute for the 131,000 people who travel along the 14th Street Complex.
