New York City FC will privately fund and build New York City’s first professional dedicated soccer venue; it is scheduled to open for the 2027 MLS season. The stadium is New York City’s and Major League Soccer’s first electric stadium. Twin Peaks has been providing services for the project since 2024.
The stadium will feature amazing views and the latest amenities. Etihad Park will establish the Willets Point area as the leading sports and entertainment hub in the nation. The project will provide food, beverage, and retail venues; office facilities; and City Square. City Square is a 35,000 square foot multi-purpose space, located inside the main entrance of the stadium. On non-gamedays, City Square will serve as a common area for the community.

Etihad Park is one part of Mayor Adams’ Willets Point transformation. The transformation will also provide 2,500 affordable homes, more than 40,000 square feet of community space, a 250-room hotel, a 650-student capacity school, and ground-floor retail stores that will generate well-paying jobs for residents.
Willets Point is experiencing a radical transformation, and the stadium is one aspect of this transformation occurring in the neighborhood. The addition of the new 25,000-seat stadium will establish New York City as a national soccer capital. The project is evidence to the strength of public-private partnerships in fueling economic growth and establishing flourishing communities. Upon completion, the $3 billion project will produce over $6 billion in economic development in the area.
This plan is the result of collaboration between NYCEDC, the City of New York, New York City Football Club (NYCFC), and Queens Development Group (QDG), a partnership between Related Companies and Sterling Equities. The future of Willets Point is being directed by monumental public-private investment to turn the area into a mixed-use, economically integrated neighborhood—reversing the course on decades of neglect to bring the community long-lasting economic opportunity.
